I'm not seeing anything on the main GW page about it, has anyone else heard officially that the release date has been bumped up? Is it possible they may not end the pre-release weekend if they are making a full release on Tuesday?

It is more likely that ANet told retailers they can start selling the game on the 28th but the game will still not go live untill the 31st.

Hope this means they will start selling from the online store on the 28th as well.

They'll probably start selling the copies the 28th, but the game isn't actually online until the 31st.

well makes sence the game comes out on the 28th because all the other games comes out tuesdays

but im not sure let me find you more info on that, did u order it online or customer pick up?

Ordered through the online plaync store, but signed up for the e-mail tracker on Gamestop ages ago, before they had any release date listed. That e-mail showed up out of the blue last night.

At the risk of asking a dumb question, would this be the reason that the PlayNC website does not have the GW:EN full game available for purchase yet? I bought the Prerelease for the sneak peek weekend but that's the only thing available at this point on the website. I assume (bad thing to do) that the full game will be available for purchase sometime on or after the 28th.

i got the same email and i called a local gamestop and they say they will have it tuesday 08/28 to go pick it up...

Hopefully they will put it in the online store on the 28th so we can buy it early - but Im not holding my breath. I'd rather not try to order it on the 31st and come across store lag problems and double charges. My mom is probably buying it for me for my birthday (which is in Sept but getting present early) on that day and she cant afford problems like that. I got lucky with the pre-release pack. Hope that stays with me.

I hope my Game Stop releases it on the 28th too because it was originally going to be released on the 1st instead of the 31st. I'll give them a call later today.

Haven't called my local stores yet, but even Barnes & Noble state the release date is the 28th, obviously B&N is associated with Gamestop. Why am I getting it from B&N you ask, well I just got a new credit card from them and got a $50 gift card so GW:EN is free. XD

Doesn't go live until planned date.. you can get the cd's before its live though.

Yep. I can assure you that Anet would not bump up the actual release.
